This fall I took Peter Han's Vis Comm 1: Dynamic Sketching class at the Concept Design Academy. I'm pretty happy because I have been wanting to take this class for a really long time, but its a hard class to get into. I got into the Sunday morning class, and am so glad to have taken it. I really learned a lot about how to draw objects and creatures more efficiently and clearly. The hardest, scariest part was doing the mechanical stuff like the trains and the tanks, but I was able to learn them quickly with Peter's teaching.
I really recommend the class! As a word of advice, if you want to get into a popular CDA class, sign up for the mailing list so you know immediately when the enrollment opens. Prepare your email before the designated time the enrollment starts, and the minute enrollment opens submit your email.
Other news, I applied to Art Center about a month ago and got into the Illustration program! This past half a year after graduating has been stressful figuring out what direction I want to take my career, but I've decided to go into Visual Development or Concept Art. My plan is to attend Foundation Arts 101 for the Spring to prepare myself, and then attend Art Center beginning of Summer. I'm pretty excited, slightly apprehensive.
